Description of Institution

IÉSEG School of Management is a top 10 French business school recognized for the excellence of its programs, its internationalisation, and the quality of its research, with campuses in both Lille and Paris. It has been accredited by both EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA, making it one of the top 1% of all business schools. In 2020, IÉSEG ranked in the top 33 Master in Management programs worldwide by the Financial Times. It is a member of the "Conférence de Grandes Écoles", a group of the best business schools in France.

Programs offered are the following: Grande École (BBA and Master in Management) (5-years), Master of Science (1-year), MBA (1-year), Bachelor in International Business (3-years), short-term summer programs where students receive ECTS credits, and executive education such as an EMBA or tailored programs.  French classes are provided to foreign students at all levels –from beginner to advanced.

IÉSEG has a strong international mind set, notably seen in its partnerships with 300+ universities in 75+ countries, and the fact that over 80% of its permanent professors have multicultural backgrounds and experience.  The School is made up of nearly 6,100 students, 2,600 of whom come from outside of France, who have opportunities for international exchanges and internships to enhance their experience at IÉSEG.

The School has built solid relationships with over 2500 companies and all students, from bachelor level through masters, can gain work experience through internships.

Ghassan YACOUB

IESEG School of Management Paris, Professor of Innovation and Strategy, Academic Director of the MBA in Leadership and Coding in partnership with Le Wagon Paris Coding School

Ghassan YACOUB is a Professor of Innovation and Strategy at IESEG School of Management in Paris and the Academic Director of the MBA in Leadership and CodingHe holds a PhD and Master's degrees and graduated with distinction from ESCP Business School, Cass Business School, and Imperial College London. His academic research lies around the sources, value capture, and management of strategic, innovation, and entrepreneurial processes within, outside, and between firms with a particular interest on emerging technologies. Prior to his academic career, he worked as an M&A Investment Banker at advisory boutiques and at J.P. Morgan in London where he was responsible for transaction origination and execution of multi-billion cross-border M&A mandates. He also worked as a strategic consultant advising global clients on strategic planning, restructuring, and transformation.

Jérémie Bertrand

IESEG School of Management Lille, Professor of Finance, Academic Director of the Master in Apprenticeship Financial Institutions: Risk, Compliance and Data Analytics

Jérémie Bertrand is Professor at the IESEG School of Management in Lille (France) since 2019 and Academic Director of the Master in Apprenticeship Financial Institutions: Risk, Compliance and Data Analytics. He holds a PhD in Management Science from the University of Lille, specializing in Finance. His field of research concerns relationship banking, trust and the impact of psychology in financial decisions. He publishes in journals such as International Review of Law and Economics, Management International or Finance Research Letters. His teaching activities focus mainly on topics linked to banks and credit decision, but also how to do research.

François MAON, IESEG School of Management Lille, Professor of Strategy and Corporate Social Responsibility, Head of the Management & Society Department.

François Maon is Professor at IESEG School of Management in France, where he is the head of the Management & Society department. His research and teaching activities focus mainly on topics linked to corporate social responsibility and sustainability learning, implementation, and change-related processes. He has published articles in various international journals such as Organization Studies, California Management Review, International Journal of Management Reviews, and Journal of Business Ethics, among others. Prof. Maon has co-edited several special issues of academic journals and books. He also serves on the editorial board of Business and Society, M@n@gement and the Journal of Business Ethics.

Frank de Bakker, IESEG School of Management Lille. Professor of Corporate Social Responsibility, coordinator of the IESEG Center for Organizational Responsibility (ICOR)

Frank G.A. de Bakker is Professor of Corporate Social Responsibility at IESEG School of Management in Lille and a member of Lille Economics Management (LEM-CNRS UMR 9221). He coordinates ICOR, the IESEG Centre for Organizational Responsibility and is co-editor of Business & Society. In his research he combines insights from institutional theory, social movement studies and corporate political activity to examine interactions between activists and business firms on issues of corporate social responsibility. He has published in a range of journals such as Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management Studies, Business Ethics Quarterly, Business & Society, Academy of Management Discoveries, and Organization Studies.
