Laurent Gutierrez is a Professor at the School of Design of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University where he leads the Master of Design scheme and supervises PhD students on research in strategic planning, urban environment, relationship between Design, Art and Politics in Asia. He earned a PhD in Architecture from RMIT on processes of modernisation and urbanisation in China, focusing on the Pearl River Delta region. Having been based in Hong Kong since 1996, Laurent is also co-founder of MAP Office. His projects have been exhibited in major international art, design and architecture events.
